Sanctioned competitors must hold a current Federation Passport in good standing. Amateurs may enter Home Baker and Kids Divisions without prior sanctioning.
The Rules of the Sport.
Ratified by the Founding Council. Effective from Year One (2027) onward. Subject to revision by the Federation's Rules Committee.
All entries must be freshly baked within 24 hours of the judging window. No commercial pre-baked entries permitted in Professional or Home Baker divisions.
Every category is judged by a minimum of three Federation-certified officials, at least one of whom must be a certified Milk Sommelier.
Entries are scored on Appearance (10), Aroma (10), Texture (25), Flavor (35), Dunkability (10), and Structural Integrity (10). Total: 100.
Dunk time is standardized at 3 seconds in whole milk at 38°F. Modified dunks (chocolate milk, alt-dairy, buttermilk) permitted only in the Innovation Award category.
Championship milk is sourced from certified Wisconsin dairies. Regional milks are permitted in the Sommelier Grand Tasting only.
Federation athletes and officials are expected to conduct themselves with sportsmanship, generosity, and joy. Cookie throwing is prohibited outside of Family Food Fight Live.
All scores are final unless a written appeal is submitted to the Head Judge within one hour of the decision.
